As a ceramic artisan, Wendy strives to make objects with purpose of both form and function - primarily tableware - inspired by strong shapes and clean lines. The key element to her work is the “complexity of simplicity”: simple is not plain, and plain is not necessarily simple. Her foundation is the result of a mentored residency in 2017 with John Colbeck and Franco Rampi at La Meridiana International School of Ceramics (Italy), made possible with funding support from the O.A.C. In 2019, Wendy assisted John Colbeck and Lisa Hammond (MBE) at the FUSION Clay & Glass Association conference, exhibited at the 58th Annual Toronto Outdoor Art Fair and the 23rd Annual FUSION Clay & Glass Show, and joined the FUSION Board of Directors. A member of Craft Ontario, her work can also be found into the Craft Ontario Shop, Toronto, and has received various commissions.
